Tree of the day: part something.
This tree was right down the street from Kate's house. I was so excited when I saw it, because Diane and I have always talked about having a green house specifically so that we could have a lemon tree! I guess the rule is that if you can reach the street fruit, its yours! Exciting! I Love LEMONS! also, there is a picture that I took after getting ready for work today.... I think my camera is the bee's knee's. It really takes the coolest pictures ever.

Dear Samantha,
ReplyDeleteLemon trees remind me of Jean Robb. She had one at Beaver Dam and would bring me several dozen and I would put them in a fruit basket on my table until the bright leaves began to fall off and then I would put them in the frig until they were about to spoil and then I would squeeze them for juice and freeze it to make lemonade or just for later use. I love them. they are so sour that their sweet. What nonsense.
Thanks for sharing the lemon tree with us.
Love you tons & tons, Grandma Rose
The Bees Knees? WTH? and you call me crazy when I say, "How's Tricks?" It must be a condition one passes on to their offspring!
ReplyDeletelol. I always figured "bees' knees" was a sign of living in the Beehive State. :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable.
