Healthy Living.

I have alot of time on my hands on the week days after work. It is too far to go into the downtown area and I am also too tired for that after a long day at work. This week I was getting some fresh produce from my favorite market near my house and I noticed that there was a curves gym next door. Grandma Prestwich has always raved about curves and how great it is, so I decided that with my spare time after work, on my way home... I am going to pop into curves and get a quick work out. It looks really easy... the main premise is that you hit up 14 different machines 2 times for 30 second... Well.... easy is not the word. I was so surprised that I could get such a good work out in 30 minutes.

I have also been eating really well since I came to Australia.

Tonight was my second time at curves since Wednesday and the day went something like this: wake up at 6am, shower...talk to Casey...check my email...get dressed ect. Catch the bus to work at 8:15.... get off bus at 8:25, walk to go get a latte at the coffee shop down the street. Get to work, latte in hand 8:40. work, work,work...lunch...work, work, work. I always walk home from work which is about one mile. 6:15pm walk to curves (it is on my way home), 7:00pm, walk out of curves sweaty and happy....7:05 go into subway (still sweaty...hahahah) and get delicious turkey 6inch sub...7:15 get home enjoy dinner and play on the Internet for the rest of the night :)

I am hoping to continue on the path of eating healthy and exercising while I am here, hell... for the rest of my life actually! I mostly want to be in better physical shape, especially because Casey and I are going on a 3 day snorkeling trip up in the tropical part of Australia when he comes to visit and I don't want to miss a thing!

Wish me luck.

Philip Island fell threw :( We are going to go next week instead. The bus doesn't run on Sundays here out to the Island and this whole place is closing up on Monday, so we wouldn't be able to get there or come back. Instead Kate and I are going to tour the Wine Yarra Valleys on Monday. We are taking a bus tour all day to 3 vineyards and having lunch and wine tasting... It is going to be magnificent! I will still take lots of pictures this weekend as I explore and conquer! love and miss all of you. xo

Pictures: Me post gym...showing you my extreme muscles and my delicious dinner of subway, steamed veggies and local fruits.

  1. Dear Sam,

Sounds like you are going to keep all your curves
    with curves. Good luck.

Eating healthy is a great goal for life.

Really sorry that your trip to Philip Island is put on hold till next week but your alternative sounds like fun. Maybe even funner. Just don't do too much tasting.

    Love you,
    Grandma Rose
