Meet Kate.

Kate is the other Intern from the University of Utah. I am so relieved that she is here. Kate worked for the Hinckley Institute for 2 years. We both graduated this last spring and here we are together in Australia!

It is so nice to have someone familiar. Really. We are going to travel together to Philip Island this weekend because it is a 3 day weekend (its the Queens birthday celebration). Philip Island is about 3 hours from the city and the main attraction is the sweet little penguins that migrate across the Island every night. We are going to stay at the main hostel/campground on the Island on Sunday night and travel back to the city on Monday. I am really excited. My main focus while being here in Australia is to see and do as much as possible. I think that I need to take advantage of the beautiful country around me. I am so lucky to be here.

This week has been very mellow. I am headed into the city to go to Parliament on Thursday which will be exciting. Then this weekend I have a full load of fun planned even besides Philip Island. I will make sure to take lots of pictures while I am out and about....

  3. Deear Sam, This is the 4th time I've typed you a comment. I hope it goes this time. To make a long story short. I'm so glad that Kate arrived. Have a great time at Philip Island on the Queen's Holiday. I think she will be 83. Not much older than me but has a lot more moneyand power. Have Fun.

    Love, Grandma Rose
