Mr. Wallaby.

At the Koala reserve we totally saw a Wallaby. We arrived to the reserve really early and we were the first ones there. As we started to walk around... I saw something hopping... I freaked out! It was a Wallaby. Wallabies are like smaller kangaroos.

It was incredible. I was so excited to see that and to see it out on the open/wild. I tried to take a few quick pictures. If you click on the pictures it should enlarge them for you.

I love and miss all of you. I don't have any super exciting plans for this weekend. I am headed to a political conference on Saturday and then Kate and I are going to maybe go see a movie and get dinner. Sunday I am headed to a really awesome part of town, the Fitzroy area. Its kind of grungy area with neat shops and lots of cafes. We are going to meet up with Tom for lunch and then shop our little hearts out. I am excited.

  1. Dear Sam,
What fun, Kangaroos of any size are awsome. What an exciting time I am having seeing this land through your eyes.

Thank you so much for sharing all these things.

    Love you more than anything,
    Grandma Rose

  2. Sammi, What's a "Kookaburro" or something like that? We sang a song about one in elementary, and "he sits in the old gum tree, happy, happy king of the bush is he...." I'm pretty sure it was a song about Australia. The Kooala bear reminded me of that song.

  3. Riley was just asking the other day if you had seen any Australian animals yet! How awesome!
